Vice President of Himalayan Motorsport

Manjeev Bhalla is a graduate of the Sri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi and has been active in motorsport since 1984. The only Indian to navigate a European Rally Champion, Manjeev and Flory Rootheart rallied and won at the Himalayan on more than one occasion in all manner of fiendishly quick rally cars !

Area of specialization on the Raid 

Manjeev’s accomplishments included making the Road books for the Great Desert Himalaya 1988 and 1989 and for several Himalayan Rally’s. His special gift for this job is on call on the  6th Raid de Himalaya.

He has been the COC for the 4th and 5th edition of the raid and this will be his 3rd event at the top spot.

Has a great rapport with the government departments and is able to conjure wonderful friendships.

Manages Himachal Heli Skiing and Himachal Safety Systems, both jobs which put him in daily contact with High Altitude adventure and Search and Rescue situations. This makes him an ideal “fire fighter” on the Raid when emergencies have to be handled.

Can copilot a helicopter for short distances but needs work on his landing and take off techniques!
